My f ourth hiking adventure with the Chiang Mai “Walk and Talk” hiking Facebook group turned out to be an unforgettable experience that deepened my appreciation for Chiang Mai’s natural wonders. This time, we embarked on the challenging Doi Khun Tan trail, a journey that led us through dense jungles, past captivating waterfalls, and ultimately to the summit. The Doi Khun Tan trail stretched over a little more than 12 kilometers, with a significant incline that presented a satisfying challenge. Let me assure you, the effort was absolutely worth it. One thing to note is that there is an entrance fee to access the park, which is 100 baht for adults and 50 baht for kids. This fee helps maintain the park’s pristine condition, making it an even more enjoyable destination for hikers.

Our adventure began early at 7:30 AM when we gathered near the Maya shopping mal l. To ensure smooth transportation, a red truck was arranged to transport us to and from the hiking area for a reasonable fee of 200 Baht.
