Welcome to the final chapter of our Pai Overnight Ride and Hike adventure. As Sunday dawned, it brought a more relaxed and easy-going atmosphere. Our primary goal for the day was to ensure everyone left Pai safely, their spirits high from the incredible experiences we had shared. This post “Exploring Pai’s Treasures: A Two-Day Hiking Expedition Part 3” summarizes my experience of this adventure.
A Trek to Remember
Sunday’s itinerary featured a leisurely hike, the perfect way to wind down after conquering more challenging treks the previous days. This time, our destination was a hidden gem in Pai, a serene waterfall trail. It provided us with a fantastic opportunity to immerse ourselves in the tranquil beauty of Pai’s natural surroundings without breaking a sweat.
Back to Chiang Mai
Allow me to share a personal experience from my journey back to Chiang Mai. Motion sickness can be a formidable adversary, and on my return trip, it hit me hard. The winding and bumpy roads took a toll on me, and despite trying various remedies, nothing seemed to alleviate the discomfort. I embarked on this journey completely sober, choosing not to indulge in drinks. At one point, the discomfort became so overwhelming that I even contemplated walking back to Chiang Mai instead of enduring the van ride.

As we bid farewell to Pai, each of us departed with cherished memories and a deep appreciation for the natural wonders of this region. Despite the motion sickness challenge on the journey back to Chiang Mai, which could be avoided with a motorbike ride for those inclined, this trip remains an amazing and unforgettable experience. Pai is always ready to unveil its unique charm to visitors, leaving us with lasting memories and a longing to return for more adventures.
