Shooting Club Chiang Mai – An Unforgettable Experience

Are you a gun enthusiast or someone who just wants to try something new? If you are in Chiang Mai, then you must visit the Shooting Club Chiang Mai – An Unforgettable Experience. I am not an expert in guns, but my experience in this club was unforgettable.

Guns in Shooting Club Chiang Mai

The club offers a wide variety of guns for you to choose from such as pistols, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns. You might recognize some guns from movies or games and would love to know how it feels to shoot them in real life.

During my visit, I chose STI 1911, which was not a Colt. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with gun types and models, but the name caught my attention. I paid for two magazines, which I believe was around 15 bullets per magazine. I used .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) bullets. My friend, on the other hand, chose a rifle with two magazines. The rifle was M4 with 25 bullets per magazine, and we used one magazine each for our guns and then switched.

The experience is priced at 1700 Baht (42 GBP or 50 EUR) for a gun and two magazines. It is quite expensive compared to other activities in Chiang Mai, but it is worth it for gun enthusiasts. You probably won’t do this every day, but it’s definitely something you don’t want to miss.

Shooting

The instructor will load the gun for you and give you instructions on how to hold, aim and squeeze the trigger. You will be shooting with an instructor standing next to you to ensure your safety.

When I was shooting the pistol, my aim was terrible, and the gun kept jumping up after each shot, so the recoil was quite large. It takes around two minutes to shoot one magazine. On the other hand, there was almost no recoil when using the rifle, making it easier to aim and shoot. The bullets used for the rifle were .22 caliber, which surprised me because I always thought they were much larger than pistol bullets.

The instructor gives you time to take a few pictures, and you can also pose with a gun. The experience lasts around 15 minutes, including a five-minute explanation and loading time.
